Health care professionals are likely to count among their patients people from all over the globe. This third, expanded edition of Cultural and Religious Sensitivity: A Pocket Guide for Health Care Professionals continues to offer health care professionals the information they need to successfully communicate with their patients, while also providing culturally and spiritually sensitive care, meeting their patients' needs and expectations related to health care. It covers a wide range of topics on culturally sensitive care, including pregnancy and birth, pediatric care, end of life, pain, and family and gender, as well religious beliefs and practices surrounding diet, medications, spiritual practices, organ donation, and more. This go-to-guide fits neatly into a lab coat pocket and features tabs to take you to the information you need when you need it-at the patient's bedside, before a patient and family consultation, or whenever you are interacting with patients. This is the guide you'll turn to again and again to improve your patient-centered care.
